This will not be a year of prosperity, but a year in which people will become poorer and the social conditions will worsen. This tendency will prevail both in the whole Poland and in the region of Jelenia Góra. There will be no anomalous natural disasters, bird flu, terrorist attacks but also no economic booms. Claudia Szewcowa, a clairvoyant, does not see any sign of propitiousness in 2006.
Claudia also heralds pre-mature elections and all the political turbulence connected with them. When asked about the changes in local authorities, she ambiguously says that the right wing will become stronger. There will be a strong female candidate for the position of the Mayor of Jelenia Góra (and it will not be any of the previous candidates, reading between the lines: Zofia Czernow...) still, a man will win the elections. However, the one who expects to see the main opponent of the current Mayor in this role is wrong, according to Claudia. Unfortunately, the new team will not introduce any changes expected by the inhabitants of Jelenia Góra. Claudia adds, that there will be a lot of turmoil connected with the purchase of "Jelfa" by foreign investors, but the transaction will not take place this year. We also should not expect any breakthrough in building a complex of pools and slides in Cieplice Health Resort. Also, the Karkonosze College will not improve the level of education. Nevertheless, it is heartening that Claudia does not predict any sensational bankruptcies of companies and factories.
'Bad times are coming", warns Claudia. Fortunately, she also adds that every clairvoyant needs to leave a margin for mistakes.
